Make-A-Wish Golf Tournament

The tournament began in 2011 as a way for the MAAR Commercial Council to give back to our community. The Council decided to donate a significant portion of the proceeds from the tournament to Make-A-Wish^® Mid-South.

The goal in the first year was to raise enough money to grant one child's wish. The average cost of a wish at that time was $5,000 but has now increased to more than $8,000. Through the hard work of the Golf Tournament Committee and the support of our sponsors, the Council was able to donate $17,000 to Make-A-Wish^®, enough to grant three wishes.

In 2011, the MAAR Commercial Council initiated this tournament with the goal of giving back to our community. Partnering with Make-A-Wish® Mid-South, the tournament has raised $882,883 to grant that bring joy and hope to those who need it most.

Each year, our tournament has grown, setting new records and surpassing our previous achievements. The success of this event is a direct result of the generosity and commitment of sponsors like you. In 2024 alone, we raised $113,433, allowing us to fulfill the dreams of over 10 children.

Make-A-Wish® Mid-South grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. If you know of a child who is critically ill, please visit midsouth.wish.org.

2025 Tournament

The 15th Annual Commercial Council Make-A-Wish® Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 22, 2025, at Windyke Country Club. Registration and lunch begin at 11:15 a.m., and shotgun begins at 12:30 p.m. Awards will follow immediately after tournament play.
