Second call for 2027 MAAR President-Elect Candidates
In accordance with the MAAR Bylaws, MAAR is issuing a second call for candidates for 2027 President-Elect after the Board of Directors did not reach the majority vote required to elect a President-Elect during the initial election process.
Eligible candidates must be REALTOR® Members who have previously served on the MAAR Board of Directors. Members elected to serve on the Board of Directors for 2027 are not eligible, although outgoing Directors are eligible. Additionally, members who served on the Nominating Committee for this immediate election cycle are not eligible to be candidates for President-Elect.
In addition to having served on the MAAR BOD, the Bylaws also provide that consideration should be given to a candidate’s reputation in the real estate profession and community; experience and professional designations; past service and effectiveness as a MAAR Director, Officer or committee chair; leadership with state and national REALTOR® associations or their affiliates; civic or religious leadership in the community; and willingness to serve.
Eligible MAAR members interested in serving as the 2027 President-Elect should complete the application below and submit it to MAAR CEO/EVP Amanda Creel by Monday, October 19, at 5 p.m. Interviews of all President-Elect candidates will be conducted on Wednesday, October 21, at 8:45 a.m. in the MAAR Conference Room. A second special meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 23, at 8:45 a.m. in the MAAR Conference Room.
