In Jan. 2020, SentriLock announced that it would begin phasing out SentriCards® as a means of access ahead of retiring them altogether.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, agents will no longer be able to use SentriCards® for lockbox access. SentriCard® Readers will become inactive and SentriLock will end support for SentriCards® and all SentriCard® services.
Consequently, SentriCards® are no longer being issued to new users. Instead, new users will be created as app-only users; no new cards will be created.
Those who own a lockbox will be able to use the card, if necessary, for certain basic ownership functions until Jan. 1, 2024, at which point the card will cease to be operational for any lockbox functions.
Current SentriCard® users are encouraged to use the SentriKey® Real Estate mobile app to access lockboxes. The SentriKey® Real Estate mobile app is available for Apple and Android devices via the App Store or Google Play. SentriLock users may also utilize the SentriKey® Real Estate website to manage lockboxes.
If you are still using SentriCard®, we recommend that you transition to the SentriKey® Real Estate mobile app sooner rather than later. Waiting until Dec. 31 to begin using the app may prove risky. Should problems arise, it may affect your ability to show properties and, with the holidays, SentriLock Support hours may be affected.

In the meantime, if you have issues with the SentriCard® Reader, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Click on the SentriLock icon.
- Click "SentriCard® Utility."
- Scroll down, then click "Select Web Browser."
- Select Internet Explorer.
- Click "OK."
