MAAR is accepting nominations for candidates to serve as the 2023 President-Elect. Former and outgoing MAAR Directors interested in serving as President-Elect should complete and submit a Nomination Form to MAAR CEO Katie Shotts by Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.
Interviews of all President-Elect candidates will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 26 at 1:30 p.m. Per the MAAR Bylaws, it is possible that the Board of Directors will vote on the same day as the interviews; however, if the Directors feel that they need more time, a subsequent meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 29 at 8:30 a.m.
Please bear in mind that the Board of Directors will only consider candidates who are eligible to serve in the position.
The criteria determining eligibility are outlined in the MAAR Bylaws as follows:

Special consideration shall also be given to the following qualifications in selecting a President-elect: reputation in the real estate profession and the community; experience and specialty designations for professionalism; past service as a Director, Officer, or committee chairman of the Association and effectiveness while serving in these positions; past leadership in the state and national real estate association or their affiliates; civic or religious leadership in the community; and willingness to serve.
