MEMPHIS, Tenn., October 7, 2021 – Memphis-area home sales for September increased 17.6 percent from a year ago, with 2,149 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 5.4 percent from August, when there were 2,038 total sales. Average sales price from September-to-September was up 6.6 percent, at $240,539. Inventory decreased 4.9 percent, with 2,529 units listed for sale. Year-to-Date sales volume increased 27.8 percent, at $3.95 billion.
