Mary Ann Tapp passed away on October 5, 2020, at her home in Brownsville, TN at the age of 77. Mary Ann was a longtime member of MAAR whose career in real estate spanned three decades working as an agent with Crye-Leike, Inc., REALTORS®.
She was recognized by Crye-Leike with the company's highest award, the Circle of Excellence Award, and with the honorary title of Vice President. She held the Top Producer title in her office throughout her time with Crye-Leike and was a lifetime member of the Multi Million Dollar Club.
Mary Ann was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN. She was a longtime annual contributor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and an avid supporter of The Boy Scouts of Fayette County and the Memphis Tigers. She loved to be with her family, to fish, to dance and to laugh.
Mary Ann was born on November 9, 1942, to Frank and Annie Mae Joyner Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Tapp. She is survived by four brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 3–5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Somerville, TN. Funeral services will be held on at the same location on Monday, October 12 at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Somerville City Cemetery.
