In response to the housing crisis that was underway in 2007, the MAAR Board of Directors elected to decrease MAAR’s MLS Usage Fees from $278 to $246 per 6-month billing cycle beginning in 2008. This $32 decrease was an effort to help MLS subscribers during a difficult time until the Memphis-area housing market could recover.

Since then, MAAR has been able to keep that 2008 fee reduction in place by eliminating or re-negotiating service contracts, reducing association staff and focusing on core MLS services. Nevertheless, the cost to provide those services has naturally increased since 2008.

After twelve years at the reduced rate for MAAR members, the 2019 MAAR Board of Directors voted to increase all MLS Usage Fees by $15 per 6-month billing cycle beginning in 2020. As a result, MAAR member subscribers and their billable assistants who paid the $246 biannual rate in 2019 will be charged $261 biannually in 2020 for MLS access.

MLS Only subscribers will see an increase to $336 biannually in 2020 from the $321 rate charged in 2019. This additional revenue will help MAAR to enhance MLS services for all MLS subscribers and provide more options for brokers to leverage the data and services offered by MAAR’s MLS.

We appreciate your commitment to your business and your membership with MAAR. We look forward to enhancing the benefits you receive from your participation in the MLS as we move forward into 2020 and beyond.
