The Voice for Local Real Estate

Welcome Home Memphis

Initiated through a joint partnership of MAAR and the City of Memphis, “Welcome Home Memphis” was created to identify, develop, advocate and promote homeownership assistance programs that are available for low- to moderate-income families.

Consisting of a comprehensive resource guide, an education program, and a public service awareness campaign, “Welcome Home Memphis” is designed to serve both the public and the real estate professional.

The online resource guide (accessed by clicking on the toolbar topics to the left) provides comprehensive information on the home buying process and affordable housing programs and services available to prospective homebuyers and current homeowners.

The education certification program provides training for REALTORS® in the areas of affordable financing, down payment assistance, credit, qualifying for a mortgage, predatory lending, home maintenance and repairs, and foreclosure prevention.

REALTORS® understand the unique issues and challenges families face in finding a place to call home. Through continuing education, they can help open the doors to housing opportunity for people at all income levels in the Memphis area. Courses will be added throughout the year, so be sure to check the Web site frequently for updates.
