MAAR members stay in the know with member communicaitons. The Association provides you with vital, up-to-date information transmitted via power lines including maar.org, the Weekly REALTOR®, MAAR This Month, Facebook and Twitter.
We know you're busy, so we've done the work for you! We compile information from multiple sources to keep you plugged into your power source: MAAR. You are given the details you need to stay informed about changing trends, market updates and the latest technological advances in the real estate industry.
MAAR members also receive official publications of the Tennessee Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, offering a wealth of information – such as feature articles, news updates, expert advice and proven practices in the real estate industry.

maar.org
You're already here. Stick around awhile! This website, maar.org, is our most powerful tool for keeping you up to speed with up-to-date information. We can post things in real time and have complete control over the site ourselves. The result is that you, as a member, receive the news as soon as we do. Make a habit of checking at least the home page every day. The "What's going on" section is essentially a blog, and will give you the most important MAAR news and events at a glance. The calendar is alongside it for easy access as well. This single calendar has all the courses, events, chapter activities and more in one place. You can even use the drop-down menu to sort by category. Pay attention to the scrolling images on the home page as well. These are often "ads" for the most important things going on at the Association at that time. You can usually click on the image, which will redirect you to a page with more info.
Familiarize yourself with this site -
your site - and make a point of getting the most out of it you can. Subscribe to our RSS feed! It's like a magazine subscription, but instead of something automatically arriving in the mailbox at home, it will automatically load in your internet browser. You'll be able to see all our news in an easy to read format when you go to your web browser.
Weekly REALTOR®
Published every Monday, the Weekly REALTOR
® includes news updates and information on events and classes that are more short-term. Perusing this weekly e-newsletter will give you all the information you need for the upcoming week. It is timely and targeted. Need to reference a back-issue? We've got you covered! We keep a cache of
past editions on this site.
MAAR This Month
Our monthly e-newsletter includes Association and industry news, as well as information on upcoming educational classes and networking events. The calendar in the back of the monthly newsletter is a member favorite. Print it out, and post it in your office, or save it to your computer's desktop so you can reference it easily as the month progresses. This newsletter will help you plan ahead to make the most of your MAAR membership in the coming month.

Commercial Connection
This monthly MAAR Commercial Council e-newsletter offers information, news and updates pertaining to the commercial real estate industry specifically. It keeps our commercial members in touch with the news they most want to see.

Facebook
Make sure you "like" the MAAR Facebook page. We post every weekday and have a large listing of events as well. It's easy for you to take a quick glance at our page while you're already on Facebook. We want our wall to be a place where members can have a conversation about a topic. You can also easily see what other members are doing, share photos and re-post info to your page. Many of our chapters have their own pages as well. |

Twitter
Follow the leader! It won't creep us out. In fact, we're a leader in the real estate industry, so we encourage followers! The more places you're connected to the Association, the more connected you'll be to us. We tweet every weekday and often re-tweet from pertinent industry and local sources. Since becoming very active in October 2010, the Association has gained about one new follower every day. |

Other social media
You don't need us to tell you there is a new social media site popping up virtually every week. It feels impossible to keep up sometimes! We're trying our best, but there are often sites that members know about and use long before the Association can. LinkedIn is a site that really benefits individuals trying to network, not a company. A lot of members are using Foursquare to "check in" at MAAR, but organizations are not allowed to "claim" themselves yet. If you start using a new site, tell us about it! We are usually trying to keep up with you!
Video
I want my MAAR TV! Did you know that we have our very own MAAR TV channel? We're using video more and more as a way for you to talk to each other member to member about benefits, programs and upcoming courses and events. Watch this video to see why MAAR member Stephanie Steele values Association communications. |

QR Codes
A quick response code, or QR code, is a new technology similiar to a barcode. When scanned by your mobile device, these codes lead to a specific web page or even send you a text message. The Association has started using QR codes to direct you to specific web pages. Use a QR reader like BeeTagg or ScanLife to "read" the code from your smartphone. Scan the QR code and see what happens! |

E-mail
We know you get a lot of emails, and we know that your focus is on your clients. From time to time we have a specific course, event or issue we feel is important for you to know about. You'll get a few e-mails from us with these very targeted messages, but for the most part, we communicate using the methods discussed above.
Printed Materials
Location. Location. Location. When we've got you here at the Association as a captive audience, why not give you information?! The next time you're in the MAAR office check out the flyers and posters around the office. There are often flyers for you to be able to take back to your office with you to post to the bulletin board or just to serve as a personal reminder.
