POLICY FOR APPLYING AND ELECTION OF NEW MEMBERS


Provisional Membership is granted to all applicants for REALTOR® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® membership immediately upon submission of a completed application form and remittance of applicable association dues and any application fee. Provisional members shall be considered REALTORS® or REALTOR-ASSOCIATES® and shall be subject to all of the same privileges and obligations of membership. The applicant must satisfy all of the requirements of membership (for example, completion of a mandatory orientation program) within ninety (90) days from the association’s receipt of their application, or membership may, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, be terminated.

I. REALTOR-Associate® Membership Requirements:
1)
Submit the following forms:
 
a.
Completed REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® application signed by the Designated-REALTOR® (principal broker) and applicant
 
b.
Copy of Affiliate Broker’s license
 
c.
MLS Key Box and Key Agreement (Optional for MLS subscribers)
2)
Pay fees and dues
3)
Attend New Member Orientation
4)
Complete “New Member Orientation Code of Ethics - Online Course”
5)
Election to REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® membership by voting members

II. REALTOR® Membership Requirements:
REALTOR® membership requirements are dependent on the type of REALTOR® membership.
A. REALTOR® Membership Requirements for a non-Principal Broker
1)
Submit the following forms:
 
a)
Completed REALTOR ® application signed by the Designated-REALTOR® (principal broker) and applicant
 
b)
Copy of Broker’s license
 
c)
MLS Key Box and Key Agreement (Optional for MLS subscribers)
2)
Pay fees and dues (If not previously paid)
3)
Attend New Member Orientation (If not previously attended.)
4)
Complete New Member Code of Ethics training as part of New Member Orientation
5)
Election to REALTOR® membership by voting members
B. DESIGNATED REALTOR® Membership Requirements
1)
Submit the following forms:
 
a)
Completed and signed REALTOR ® application
 
b)
Copy of Broker’s license
 
c)
Copy of Firm license
 
d)
Completed Firm Participation Agreement (For MLS Participation)
 
e)
MLS Key Box and Key Agreement (Optional for MLS Participants)
2)
Pay fees and dues (If not previously paid)
3)
Attend New Member Orientation (If not previously attended.)
4)
Complete “New Member Orientation Code of Ethics -Online Course” (If not previously completed.)
5)
Complete Designated REALTOR® Orientation within 180 days
6)
Election to Designated REALTOR® membership by voting members
C. Branch DESIGNATED REALTOR® Membership Requirements
1)
Submit the following forms:
 
a)
Completed REALTOR ® application signed by the Designated-REALTOR® (principal broker) and applicant
 
b)
Copy of Broker’s license
 
c)
Copy of Firm license
 
d)
MLS Key Box and Key Agreement (Optional for MLS Participants)
2)
Pay fees and dues (If not previously paid)
3)
Attend New Member Orientation (If not previously attended.)
4)
Complete “New Member Orientation Code of Ethics -Online Course” (If not previously completed.)
5)
Complete Designated REALTOR® Orientation within 180 days
6)
Election to Branch Designated REALTOR® membership by voting members
D. Affiliate Member
1)
Submit application
2)
Pay fees and dues
3)
Election to Affiliate membership by voting members
