MAAR Commercial Council

Created in 2003 by the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®, the MAAR Commercial Council is committed to providing an organization specifically for the Memphis area commercial real estate community, including commercial developers, commercial brokers, commercial and affiliate brokers, commercial developers, property managers and other related commercial real estate professionals.

The MAAR Commercial Council is a self-governed, freestanding division of MAAR led and governed by a Board of Directors composed of and elected by commercial real estate leaders. Candidates for the Board of Directors are nominated and elected by the commercial real estate community at the annual Commercial Council election meeting in August each year, and the new Board members take office the following January. In addition to the elected Directors, the Board of Directors also includes a member of the MAAR Board of Directors and the local chapter presidents of MAAR's Commercial Institute Affiliates: CCIM, IREM, SIOR and RLI.

The Council organizes education and other recognition programs throughout the year, including the annual Commercial Property Forecast Summit in February and the Pinnacle Awards in April.
