For a detailed explanation of the TREC Staggered License plan and how it affects your education, click here. All licensees required to complete continuing education to renew their license must complete 16 hours of education, including the 4-hour mandatory TREC Core course, 60 days prior to the expiration date of their license.
Registrants may cancel a course anytime prior to the beginning of the course and receive a full refund. If the registrant fails to cancel prior to the beginning of the course, no refund will be issued, but they may transfer the funds within 5 business days to a course of equal value. In the case of a free course, registrants who fail to cancel prior to the beginning of the course will be charged a $15 fee. Cancellation can be through a telephone call (901-685-2100), fax (901-761-4003) or e-mail (nlundquist@maar.org).

This course will cover the backgroud of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, arbitration versus mediation, and your duties to the public, the property, and your peers. It will also address the new and revised articles for the Code of Ethics for 2008. Instructor Pat Reilly is the VP of Member Services for the New York State Association, a NAR-approved professional standards administrator trainer, a NAR-approved Code of Ethics insturctor, and the chair of NAR's 2008 Association Executives Institute. REPA is a comprehensive, two-day certificate course that provides an intensive introduction to the real estate business and to the specific ways support staff can become valuable assets to their employers.

This two-day (16 hour) course covers both the ethical and legal standards for true professionals in today’s real estate industry. Using the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, the course examines the REALTOR®’s responsibilities to clients and customers, to the public, and to fellow-REALTORS®. In addition, the course covers state laws relating to agency, property condition disclosure, antitrust, fair housing, lead-based paint disclosure, and other risk-reduction issues. The Northwest Mississippi Association of REALTORS® is offering a one day, eight-hour, seminar for the Tennessee Agent desiring to do business in Mississippi. "Selling Real Estate in Mississippi" is designed to assist the Tennessee licensee with a more workable understanding of the nuances of dealing with Mississippi properties as well as the customs, rules and regulations and laws surrounding a Real Estate transaction in Mississippi. This course uses case studies of current real estate brokerage companies for practical understanding of the relationship between Gross Commission Income, Variable Expenses, Fixed Expenses, and Profit. What are some current problems blocking profit? Identify these problems and create solutions through exercises, brainstorming and discussion. This course studies the standard maximum percentages for differently structured companies that brokerage owners should heed when spending money on different line item expenses. The participant will go home from this presentation with new energy, a new understanding of income and expenses, and new ideas on how to run his/her company more profitably.
