MAAR Commercial Council Community Involvement
The MAAR Commercial Council and its members are committed to giving back to the communities in which they work and live. The Council has recently taken on two projects in an effort to contribute to their neighbors in the Memphis area.
The MAAR Commercial Council hosted its first Golf Tournament in 2011 and was able to grant the wishes of three children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-South. The Second Annual MAAR Commercial Council Golf Tournament to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-South is scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012.
In October 2011, MAAR Commercial Council members and their families volunteered at the Binghampton Development Corporation's Urban Farms project, which supports healthy eating and supplies fresh and healthy food to the Binghampton community.
Through these small efforts, the MAAR Commercial Council members have gained insight and have been able to leverage their physical resources to benefit others.
