Understanding the Acronyms
A REALTOR® may have a few acronyms after his or her name, such as ABR or CRS. These letters tell you what designations and certifications your agent has earned. The National Association of REALTORS® provides programs so that REALTORS® stay up to date on the information necessary to effectively assist their clients. Checking State Licenses
Real estate agents must be licensed by the state of Tennessee. To find out if someone is licensed, go to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission Web site and look under Real Estate Broker/Affil.

Is your real estate agent a REALTORS®?
The National Association of REALTORS® Web site has a search engine that allows you to find local REALTORS®.
